After growing up in Mexico City and competing as part of the Mexican National Gymnastics Team, Iliana used her 1984 athletic scholarship to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Spanish from the University of New Mexico.
Her marketing background includes over 28 years of experience in broadcasting, digital advertising, social platforms engagement campaigns, incorporation of English and Spanish creative development, and ad production for both the general market and the Hispanic market. She worked at KLUZ-Univision and KOB-NBC as a Senior Account Executive. Her clients based were national, regional, and local advertisers. Her responsibilities included providing market research, analyzing market trends, media placement with strong negotiation skills, and developing strategies to support effective marketing campaigns.
Iliana has 28 years of experience with English-Spanish translation work, including scripts, instructional materials, promotional pieces and websites. She also has 18 years of extensive experience consulting with regional and local advertising agencies. This work involved helping to effectively target the General and Hispanic market by optimizing advertising campaigns, implementing commercial production, and supervising Spanish talent searches.
In addition, Iliana is the President of Art Clay World America & Mexico, the official distributor of Aida Chemicals in Japan, a company that imports recycle silver products from Japan to Mexico and the USA.
