The Government Relations team will represent the Chamber and its members’ business interests in local government activities. The team’s successes will include the enactment of comprehensive tort reform legislation which made significant changes to the manner in which support for Mexico and Latino communities must be mandated.
Also, we will be influential in the areas of workers’ compensation and education reform. The team also will work with the state’s higher education and research communities to promote fair tuition for New Mexicans.
The USMLCC was organized to better fulfill the Chamber’s mission of creating a business-friendly environment in New Mexico. We will promote political representations for US-Mexican and US-Latin American people. The Chamber will support candidates at a state and local level who favor a strong business climate and job growth from US-Mexican and Latin Americans.
